Well this one is a hard one to answer I love raw power but do have a thing for luxury as well. To give you an idea I made a list (no high end exotics, all in the 100k range).

The Earthracer is probably the coolest boat on earth! It was built to circle the earth in record time, all on biodiesel to showcase the viability of alternative energy sources.

To modify a line from Back to the Future, if you're going to save the planet, why not do it in style?
It is (or was?) half boat, half sub. Designed to slice and drive right through waves over 20 feet high, it set the world record for circling the earth by boat.
Later on it was donated to the Sea Shepherd society. If I remember correctly, it was the perfect scouting vessel to reduce their dependency on the not so reliable helicopter they use to spot the whaling ships... until this happened.

This video show the whaling vessel steering directly into their ship. The video from the whaling ship even shows the Earthracer suddenly turning on its engines (trying to avoid the situation) but far to late to get out of the way.
Okay, normally I would say the common tactics they use on each other is entirely fair in the act of civil disobedience, resistance, or deterrences for both sides, but this is (if found to be deliberate) was arguably attempted murder. Several national governments have condemned what happened and called for or have begun a investigation into what happened.

Nooooo!!! Its like seeing the Delorean getting destroyed in BTTF3 :(
In all seriousness, had that boat not been built to such high standards. Their could have been fatalities. Anything less and of the same size would have sunk immediately into the frigid waters or rolled over and under the ship (without those large catamarans for stabilization). I mean the full weight of that boat landed on top of their ship!
Wow, what a day for Sea Shepherd. I wonder if we will see it on Whale Wars.

Well for better or worse I broke down and bought my plan ticket to head out to Dallas for Furry Fiesta. Its a small con only in its 2nd year but I have heard almost all good things from everyone I have talked to so I figured why not. Airfare to Texas was under $200 round trip. I also have a double bed room reserved and am actively seeking out anyone who wishes to be roommates for the event. Either that or I'll find someone else to stay with and cancel the reservations. So if any of you reading this are interested, get in touch with me :) Either way, I'll be there and am looking forward to trying something different and meeting a new group of furs.

As promised I would recap 2009. Okay, so it’s a few days late *shrugs*. All in all not really sure what to make of 2009… I can’t really say it was bad, nor can I really say it was where I wanted to end either. I am gonna take a cue from a friends journal and try a month by month recap.

So what does all this long winded stuff mean? Who know just the way the year was. I cannot say it was a bad year got some amazing things accomplished. But also, faced a lot of hardship and new challenges. I start 2010 one day at a time. Trust me, things still are not easy but I can say I am still trying. Sometimes, that's all one can do.

Why bother! I can't ever seem to keep my New Years Resolution.
....hmmm...
Ah-hah!
That gives me an idea!
My New years resolution is to stay out of shape, not make lots of money, and not obtain vast amounts of knowledge and power.
Oh yes, I definitely can't wait to fail at this New Years resolution! :D

Well first and for most I do wanna wish a belated happy holidays to all. Hope everyone has a great time. As for my Holiday's? Well no way to sugar coat it frickin' blew big time. I was pretty much stuck house bound due to no one able to look after Dustin doggy and there was no way I would put him in a kennel somewhere. Just would not be fair to him. I did have some sweet offers to go a few places, but sadly most were just too far for me to go to with having to take care of Dustin. I wouldn't have really be able to make it back home either as they got blasted with a big snow storm. Which, sadly recked my parents plans to surprise my sister and her girl friend in Colorado. So instead ate a lot of junk food and drank a lot of wine, LOL. I am on my last day off from work I go back tomorrow for three days then I have another long weekend for New Year's. Hopefully, I can find away to end this year a good note.
PS) Look forward to the super long rant about 2009 in review, right here on LJ!
